My name is Kate Emery. I am a Registered Psychologist with a general private practice in Calgary, Alberta.

My professional and personal experiences over the last ten years have informed my passion for working with survivors of abuse. I use a body-based trauma-informed approach for healing trauma.

I also work with clients on areas related to anxiety, depression, stress, codependency, trauma and PTSD, body acceptance, and gender and sexuality.

I am an LGBTQIA2S+ friendly, sex worker friendly, and sex positive therapist. I am a kink-aware and non-monogamy-aware therapist.

Please note I am currently wait listing new clients.

I am a White person of English, Irish, Chinese, and Stó꞉lō ancestry living in the ancestral and traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of Treaty 7 region which includes the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations, the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations), and the chosen home of people of the Métis Nation. I acknowledge the trauma to Indigenous people that has been inflicted, and continues to be inflicted through the perpetuation of racist systems and stories. I also acknowledge that Indigenous Knowledge and Perspectives are foundational to healing and wellbeing, and I am doing my best to deepen my understanding and take positive action personally and professionally.
